A great trip report was posted on Clubtred . com lots of pics and great info. Trip was none on June 13th just go to club tread and search for Tetrahedron.
It sure would be nice if anyone going up to the Tet could post info here.
Guess the cabins have been all cleaned up from party goers over the winter. Many thanks to the Park rangers and members of Tet club for keeping trails and cabins up.

Found this on page 3 or 4 of BC trip reports on Clubtread. com

I just came back down today, spent 5 days in the park, hiked to all 4 cabins + steele peak.

road to lower parking lot is fine in small 2wd. you need SUV + clearance for 2nd lot, couple good ditches. it's only a few hundred meters though not a big deal to hike it.

bugs were bad if you stoped, but fine while moving and in the cabins with doors closed. not much on steele.

cabin lofts were HOT, Metal roof + sun will do that I guess.

the trail to mcnair lake is definatly a nice swamp. gaiters are handy!

trail to steele cabin has snowy bits but packed and fine with boots, so is the trail to steele peak.

saw lots of bear and what I think was couger sign around the park.

there is no summer water source near edwards cabin. we used a big creek 500m or so up the trail where the steele / mcnair lake junction is. Steele has nearby pounds / streams from melting snow pack. (and snow)

we hiked from

day 1: lot to edwards lake cabin.
day 2: edwards lake to mcnair, then all the way back and up steele. (this was a long and unplaned day but mcnair had some people in it already)
day 3: day hiked up Steele peak.
day 4: hiked from steele cabin down to batchlor.
day 5: Batchlor out to car.

Someone in our party lost their wedding ring somewhere between Steele cabin and steele peak... (he noticed it was missing about 400 feet from the top, and he knows he had it at the cabin that morning) we searched on the way down following the tracks, and he hiked the peak 4 more times! over 2 days following the tracks but didn't find it... trying to find a needle on the mountain!... we left a note in the cabin and guest book...

Tet road reportTet road report
Current Conditions Friday, July 17, 2009

This Report was emailed to me few days ago.

The road up to the bridge has been graded & brushed out and the surfacing work is to start up soon. A bit of washboard on suicide hill, but the flats up to 6km bridge are in great shape (good place for a speed trap!). I'm sure the section up to the summer lot is the same rough condition as before

Alert / Warning Tuesday, July 21, 2009

Heard a rumour that there was a small fire broke out around Batclor lake.
Please do not smoke in the Bush, There will be a campfire ban starting Sat I heard.
If anyone can add any info about news of local fire please add it here.

CanCan't confirm about any fire at this time
Alert / Warning Tuesday, July 21, 2009

Maybe the fire was to small to keep track of or it was not as big as thought.
But PLEASE use extra caution in the Bush. Any place you can hike could be at risk from a careless smoker.

Maybe someone got mixed up between Alice Lake and Batchlor lake.
Keep a eye out.

Weather infoWeather info
Alert / Warning Monday, July 27, 2009

For most accurate weather info use Enviro canada site. There is as much as 8'c between weather network and enviro can site. Seems only Enviro canada uses the Sechelt wether station most others use Pt Atkinson in West Van for Sechelt and Gibsons readings.
32'c in sechelt on Enviro can site 25'c on weather network.

Lets hope they keep the weather station here.
