Was up that way yesterday and the road is in good shape. There are some potholes but nothing too bad. Patches of snow starting at about 1000m, with hard compact snow on Spipyus Peak (1250m). No snowshoes needed. Good hiking is here! Sorry snowman, I can't wait for the paddling and hiking season!

Current Conditions Saturday, June 16, 2007

Has anyone recently gone up to McNair cabin via the McNair FSR? We're hoping to go up to Panther Peak in the next few weeks while there's still some snow on the ridge and wonder what the current conditions are like (muddy and wet we suspect).

Current Conditions Monday, June 25, 2007

Was just up for a hike above Quanset hut. Snow starts almost 1-2 ft deep about 1km above Quanset hut. Some animals of 2 legged variety have tipped over both Outhouses. Guess they got boared with cow tipping. Don't know what the temp is up top because someone swiped both thermometers from the Quanset hut.
Thanks to CNI the road is brushed out all way to 8kms. Makes it alot safer but still have to use caution because of Logging trucks.
Only 3 months till snow starts again.
