Tet Road. Please spread tracks out use chsinsTet Road. Please spread tracks out use chsins
Current Conditions Thursday, December 21, 2017

Was up to parking lot on wed morning was -10’c at 10 am. Around 8-10 inches snow at lot. Many vehicles have been up and down but they are all driving in same tracks. This makes the Road undriveable For lower clearance vehicles. If everyone spreads tracks out and packs the full width of Road down it won’t meed to be plowed.
I have stopped plowing the road I can not afford to keep plowing it with my Unimog. Over the years I have been run off the road by many other vehicles going way to fast. Damage is adding up. I use to enjoy going up killing snow flakes but not anymore.
If you want access to the park to stay open spread out your tire tracks on snow or gravel. Help keep Road clear and safe by removing branches rocks etc. If you see a water problem try to ditch it off the road.

Take care stay safe.

I put chains on but gave up snow on Road 1000 ft before gate very wet and iced slush. Would be easy to get stuck. Best to stay clear of Dakota till much colder and snowy conditions. With some good deep freezes the base on trails should hold together.
Was mix of snow and rain this morning very poor traction and wet wait till big freeze and large snow dumps.
Road is rough and some wash outs happening slow down use headlights. Be prepared.

Tet and Dakota roads covers in snow Chains neededTet and Dakota roads covers in snow Chains needed
Current Conditions Saturday, November 18, 2017

Last report from Alpha was 13 inches snow st Dakota Road covered in snow probably lots more since Thursday. The Tet was reported to have 25 cms snow at parking lot and 50 cms at Bachelor cabin. Could be much more by now. Road not plowed Chains a must 4x4 with chains. No tow trucks will go up there. Slow down respect other road users use headlights to be seen sooner. There is no right away on back roads. Carry shovels you might have to dig out or a safe parking spot. Park well off the road leave room for large trucks etc to get by yours safely.
No toboggans on the roads very dangerous. Enjoy stay safe be prepared.
Video link on how easy diamond back chains are to put on. Best chains to use designed in Europe takes 1 min a wheel to put on much safer then cable chains

Tet work party fixed up a Bridge chapmanTet work party fixed up a Bridge chapman
Current Conditions Sunday, October 22, 2017

Some dedicated Volunteers managed to make a bridge work to cross Chapman creek. This bridge should work fine until new bridge is flown in next year. Many Volunteers have worked to keep trails and Bridges open. The Tetrahedron Outdoor club maintains cabins and trails. So your Cabin fees and extra donations help so much. Helicopter time to fly in firewood and materials is huge. If you Value the Tet park and Cabins please help Donate time or $. Check out the Clubs Facebook page for great updates and current info.
Snow is falling and conditions can change fast be prepared. No Cell phone service up there. Snow tires and Tire chains a must

Tet parkTet park
Current Conditions Saturday, October 21, 2017

Please make sure you have snow tires and chains for going to the Tetrahedron park. The road can be very challenging when covered in snow.
It won’t be getting plowed as often so spreading fire tracks out will help keep the road driveable.
There maybe several work parties to do repairs to bridges in the park. The Tet club pays for it all BC parks does not maintain the park or cabins. So feel free to donate extra money to keep cabins and trails open. If you have construction experience you might help work parties.
It costs the club big bucks to fly construction supplies in by helicopter.
Be prepared for changing conditions.
Enjoy the park Volunteer when you can.
